Ranged Skill, well what's the point of it for a Jedi/Sith? Outside of throwing a lightsaber, it doesn't do anything for you unless you like blasters or something. Just seems like a pointless thing to put points into. Maybe make it to where as a Jedi/Sith you don't have to use that skill. Since the people who don't use the force don't use force potential, people who use the force don't use ranged skills?

I thought that was a given. I typically give my characters some skill in it anyway that way, given the unlikelyhood that they use a blaster, they don't kill themselves.

Wasn't really a given considering rick had told me when he was down here that lightsaber throwing skills did go under ranged. What ever though I know now, but please read on! I'm still kind of iffy on the skills. Maybe the force potential skill should be more in-depth. Just split it into three different stats under force potential, the higher force potential the more points you have to distribute.

Just looks like it would make a powerful force user more balanced. You're easily capabling of exaggerating your power in any side of the force just because your potential is at 100. That and it would allow each character to have a more unique set up.

And please don't tell me we're all over exaggerated Galen Marek's.

Mike was saying something about having 10 levels with points to spend on each type of FP skill, in increments of three levels. Level 1 cost 1 point, 2 cost 3 points and 3 costing 5. Im not sure but its either to something along the lines of these

___________________________
Example Concept A

Force push:
level 1: Total cost 1 point
level 2: Total cost 2 point
level 3: Total cost 3 point
level 4: Total cost 6 point
level 5: Total cost 9 point
level 6: Total cost 12 point
level 7: Total cost 15 point
level 8: Total cost 20 point
level 9: Total cost 25 point
level 10: Total cost 30 point

Obviously level 10 would be the best of force push.

______________________________________
Concept 2

level 1: Total cost 1 point
level 2: Total cost 4 point
level 3: Total cost 9 point

This seems impractical, you would have a ton of points to max everything out.

It was 3 levels, costing 2,3,and 5. Allowing a mastery of a power within 10 points.

Having skill points in each individual force power seem's far too complicated for me to do. There is A LOT of force powers... Just hopefully no one uses powers that aren't real...

I prefer the idea of splitting force potential into three stats, the amount of points you get is based on your FP stat. Let's just say it gives you 2.5 points for every point in FP you have. So I would have 250 points.

Fake Stat Sheet
Force Potential - 100
Dark Powers - 100
Neutral Powers - 100
Light Powers - 50

It's really simple and would really help all force users get a better grasp on the strength of their abilities. Especially when we battle each other, so we don't have to hear some one go. "I have 100 FP therefore I am better at everything in the force", which shouldn't be entirely true. You should just be stronger in what you study.

Oh and the whole 110 to any stat if you reduce 10 points off of your total stats is an iffy idea. It shouldn't be restricted to any one. If one person can do it, everyone can. So are you sure you want that? Now I wait for Matt or Mike's reply. =) But in my opinion it shouldn't be allowed for anyone, even though I had plan to do it for Lara. I just like 100 being the cap, that's how I feel.

Why does Viva get more force points? That makes no sense to me. Sure if no one wants to budge on the 110 FP cap then what ever. I wasn't really against it as much as I was just wanting it to be open to any character, not just Thanos and Lara. But why on earth would he get more force points than anyone else to distribute? He would already get more points than anyone else by having 110 FP, why give him an even bigger boost? That's just retarded. Sure Darth Thanos is meant to be very powerful in the force, but he's not so much more powerful than everyone else that it would make anyone else who wanted to be strong in the force pointless...Even Rick would agree with me here, as much as he loves eating his own poop. =)

And if this were to be implemented, we should keep it to numbers that end in .5 or just use a whole number. Like 2, maybe 2 wouldn't be bad.
Just makes the math more simple.

This whole thing is merely a suggestion, nothing more. Just want some feedback on it, you could all tell me my idea sucks and to eat poop if you wanted. But then I'd probably be sad, so don't do it. I look forward to your replies, keep them somewhat serious and on-topic if you're gonna post. =)

Actually, he refused to budge on the cap being firmly place at 100, deciding that Thanos should in fact have 110. I wanted to keep it at 100 so that the web charts worked but he told me I sucked and to eat poop. If you want to just say for RP reason Thanos and Lara get more points per Force Potential, that'd solve both of our problems. It wouldn't make any less sense that way if we limited your original amount of points to spend. Sure they can't be as strong force wise, but they'll be better all around.
